About

I'm Eric Moore. I work on software and the stories that explain it.

I'm interested in the moment a product does something useful: the input it needs, the action it takes and the change the user can see.

The same question runs through my educational work: what does someone need to see before the idea makes sense?

Where I start

Between the click and the result.

That is where I start the story. I'll ask for a walkthrough, read your docs and changelog, and ask what happens between the click and the result. I'll challenge a script that skips the explanation your buyer needs.

For a lesson, I read the source material the same way, looking for the step a learner cannot see and the idea they are most likely to get wrong.

For your film, I am responsible for the brief, script, board, motion and handover. You work directly with me and approve the story before animation.

My own work

A product and two channels of my own.

None of these are client commissions, and each is labeled that way wherever it appears.

DecideNorth

I'm the product owner of DecideNorth, my own consumer software product about couples' alignment. My role includes product decisions, claims, story direction and review.

Why Lantern

My own animated explainer channel. One subject at a time, with visuals that show the explanation and distinguish evidence from hypothetical scenarios.

The Ink Teller

My own illustrated storytelling channel. Legends and folklore told through narrative, illustration and sound, with historical claims identified separately.

My LinkedIn profile gives more background.

How we work together

A focused way to work together.

For a product film: one audience, one workflow and one 30-second story. Start with a standalone paid story stage. Choose the complete film after the board is approved.

For a lesson: one audience and one learning objective, scoped after we review the material together.

The production uses AI-assisted, code-based motion tools under my direction. If your team has AI restrictions, source-file requirements or a production workflow to preserve, tell me before booking so I can establish fit. The package FAQ explains how tool and material permissions are agreed.
